Whatever my feelings about their coffee (I still prefer lattes), the Starbucks team clearly knows how to do baked goods. Many of the gluten-free Starbucks-style recipes here came about because readers asked for them — so thank you! In a couple of months the blog will be redesigned and updated to make older content easier to find and to add responsive design so it reads well on any device. I’m also adding a feature for submitting recipe requests, because I get a lot of my best ideas from you and want to make that process simpler.
As some of you know, my new cookbook focuses on gluten-free takes on classic name-brand snacks and desserts. Recently I perfected recipes for Hostess Mini Bites blueberry muffins and Vitatops Chocolate Chip muffin tops for the book, which I can’t share here yet. But the blog remains a great place for Starbucks-style treats, so here are several we’ve developed and tested.
If you have another favorite Starbucks baked item, tell me in the comments — I might just experiment and create a gluten-free version for you!

Here’s a quick tour of six gluten-free Starbucks-style recipes, with a note about what makes each one special:
Gluten-Free Starbucks-Style Chocolate Caramel Muffins: These are decadently tender chocolate muffins with gooey caramel folded in. If Starbucks calls them muffins, I’ll go along — they’re rich, chocolatey, and dangerously good.
Gluten-Free Starbucks-Style Iced Lemon Pound Cake: One of my personal favorites and a true Starbucks icon. This loaf is bright, buttery, and finished with a sweet lemon glaze. Next time I’ll try it with Meyer lemons if I can find them — the extra aroma is worth hunting for.
Gluten-Free Bagels: These are fluffy, roll-with-a-hole style bagels, topped with Asiago for a savory bite. I may have taken a little poetic license — whether Asiago bagels were originally from Panera or Starbucks doesn’t change the fact that these mimic the soft, tender bagels you often see in chain cafés.
Gluten-Free Starbucks-Style Vanilla Almond Biscotti: Biscotti pairs beautifully with coffee, and this vanilla-almond version captures that classic café flavor. Crisp, fragrant, and perfect for dunking — I’ll take mine with a latte.
Each recipe focuses on approachable gluten-free ingredients and simple techniques so you can recreate familiar café flavors at home. If you’d like more Starbucks-style gluten-free recipes or variations (savory toppings, seasonal twists, or miniature versions), share your ideas and I’ll consider them for development.
