Have you started preparing for the holidays? In past years I often left wrapping until the last minute, but this season I decided to get ahead and wrap a few gifts I already know I’ll be giving.
My Cake Pops Holidays book is a great place to begin, and I wanted the packaging to feel cute, quick, and customizable. I worked with Zazzle to create custom cards and packaging using my photos and illustrations. Their platform lets you upload your own images to personalize a wide variety of products; I focused on paper goods that coordinate with the book.
I used photos from the book to make illustrated versions of my cake pops so the whole gift becomes a cohesive, charming set. I began with cards and then discovered custom stamps—what a delightful detail for mailed gifts.
Making your own stamps adds a thoughtful, personal touch. They’re so adorable I had a hard time wanting to send them away—I ordered extras to keep on hand.
I also made coordinating stickers in pink and green because I couldn’t settle on just one color. They’re perfect for sealing tissue or accents on the package.
My favorite new item to create was custom wrapping paper. Rolled paper printed with your own designs is a simple way to elevate gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, and of course the holidays. I can’t wait to design more patterns.
Once I had paper and stickers, I added a few lollipop sticks into the box with the book and relabeled them to match the overall design. I wrapped each book in tissue, filled the box with matching paper shreds, and sealed it with a sticker.
Add a coordinating bow and the package is ready to go—one present crossed off the list. I also wrapped a few Frosty Friends Mini Kits in pink paper; they make adorable stocking stuffers.
With everything coordinated, I debated who to send them to next. To celebrate, I decided to give away three gift sets that include a signed Cake Pops Holidays book, lollipop sticks, and a Frosty Friends Mini Kit — all wrapped in custom paper.

- Three winners were chosen at random and announced Thursday evening.
P.S. I scheduled two December book signings to make up for one cancelled last year and added a new date in Georgia. If you live nearby I’d love to see you there.
Good luck on the giveaway!
