Lighten Your Monday: Simple Ways to Boost Energy and Mood

It’s Monday, and I’m suffering from a food hangover.

I don’t know about you, but I ate my weight in nacho cheese, little smokies, cinnamon rolls, chili, and puppy chow last night.

Every year before we head over to Danny and Laura’s house to watch the Super Bowl I tell myself, “Self, don’t eat two bowls of spicy chili and eighteen little smokies. And whatever you do, do not—repeat, do not—wash it all down with half a bowl of puppy chow.” Needless to say, my pep talks need work: I did several lunges across the floor this morning just to button my work pants.

Anyways, I wanted to keep today’s post light, so I’m sharing a website I discovered this weekend while catching up on blog reading.

The site is called: Wordle

It generates word clouds. Pretty neat, right? You can enter your blog URL—or any web page—and it analyzes which words appear most often. The larger the word in the cloud, the more frequently it shows up on the site.

Here’s what happened when I entered my blog:

Word cloud of my blog
Apparently I use words like “like,” “cookies,” “know,” “work,” “class,” and “Mr.” a lot. I’m not sure whether to feel enlightened or annoyed that I need to broaden my vocabulary.
Give it a try and tell me which five words top your list!
