When Purely Inspired reached out about their organic, plant-based chocolate protein powder, I knew I wanted to create a simple, travel-friendly snack that featured their powder. I’m picky about ingredients—no unnecessary additives or long lists of sugar substitutes—so I checked the label like any registered dietitian would.

The powder I tested is straightforward: rice and vegetable proteins, cocoa, added fiber, and a stevia-style sweetener. It’s non-GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free—clean and simple, which I appreciate.

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop vegan chocolate protein powder
  • ¼ cup natural peanut butter
  • 4–5 tablespoons almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder
  • ½ tablespoon vegan chocolate protein powder (for coating)
  • ½ teaspoon espresso powder (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl (reserve the extra protein and espresso for coating).
  2. Mix until the mixture forms a dough. Add a splash more almond milk if it feels too dry.
  3. Divide and form into four balls.
  4. In a shallow dish, mix the reserved protein powder and espresso powder.
  5. Roll each ball in the coating mixture until well coated.
